Ritual I — Bittersweet
The first ritual begins with the voices we carry.

The Bittersweet Ritual
When we say “ritual,” we mean a repeatable way to meet yourself.
Maybe it’s lighting a candle, sitting with your notebook, & letting Bittersweet play from start to finish.
You write what rises up, you notice what still hurts, & you choose—gently—what you’re ready to release & what you want to carry forward.

Why I Wrote Bittersweet
Bittersweet was the first song I ever wrote under Rapid Desire & in many ways, it's where everything began. At the time, I felt trapped inside my own mind. My insecurities had become a loud spiral—an endless echo of fear, self-doubt, & regret. It felt like I was fighting a battle no one else could see, a constant war between the person I was & the person I knew I could become. Writing this song didn't erase those feelings, but it gave them somewhere to exist outside of me. Instead of letting those thoughts stay locked inside, I turned them into something honest. For the first time, I wasn't running from them, I was giving them a voice. That's what Bittersweet represents. It's the moment you confront the voices you've been carrying. The regrets. The insecurities. The words & outside influences that have shaped the way you see yourself. It's the quiet realization that those voices are only thoughts, & you don't have to listen to them. They don't have to write the next chapter of your life. Bittersweet wasn't the end of my battle, it was the beginning of choosing myself. It became the first step toward building confidence, embracing creativity, & finding the courage to pursue the dream I'd almost convinced myself to give up. If this song reminds you of your own silent battles, I hope it reminds you of something even more important: You don't have to live there anymore.
